INSIDE / OUTSIDE

We are please to announce, and cordially inviting you to attend, our friend and NY based artist, Joseph Heidecker's solo show INSIDE /OUTSIDE!

Please come out and support the arts by attending his opening reception, Friday, September 24th at 6pm!

The show will be on display weekends and by appointment, closing on Sunday, Oct. 17th.

Joseph has exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the United States and internationally. You may have seen his work in our group shows Eros & the Anatomy of Desire and The Art of the Self-Portrait.

Joseph has works in the permanent collections of the George Eastman Kodak House Museum, Cindy Sherman, Joel Peter-Witkin, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Kyle Harding DeWoody, Uma Thurman, Benicio Del Toro and other private collections.

Joseph’s work is featured in William M. Hunt’s ”Unseen Eye," published by Aperture. This collection has travelled internationally to Switzerland, Vienna, London, Arles (France), and to the Foam Photography Museum in Amsterdam; also, the "Notebook" exhibition curated by Guy Montag in Tel Aviv is soon to be traveling internationally.

His "FotoFurniture Series" was sponsored by Design Miami and included a photo booth where participant photographs were applied to custom made furniture. This work was represented by Johnson Trading Gallery (NY) and shown at Nilufar Gallery, Milan; others included Youngblood Gallery (Sag Harbor, NY). Sculptures and Fotofurniture have been exhibited with Kyle Harding DeWoody at Grey Area (NY), Beautiful Decay, and Design Milk Online. The Fotofurniture Series has been featured in numerous publications worldwide such as Elle Decor (Japan), Glamour (Italy), Nisha (Israel).

Joseph’s illustration work and social commentaries have been featured in publications across America, as well as in the New York Sunday Times. He has been a contributor to the New York Times ”T Magazine” and Details magazine and a featured artist in Taschen’s "Illustration Now! 2". Other works include the New Yorker, Men's Health, Radcliffe Quarterly, Seattle Weekly, and "V Magazine” men and women.
